Tulse Hill gyratory removal – update

On 21st May there was a celebration at Elmgreen School to mark the completion of the first phase of a consultation exercise called Streetworks. Streetworks is a programme of workshops to ‘co-design’ the forthcoming changes to the streets around the Tulse Hill gyratory (or one-way system).

Over the next three years, the gyratory will be removed and the streets around it re-designed. The work will be managed by Transport for London, but informed by the workshops with the local community.

The celebration included a presentation from students at Elmgreen School, a series of awards and a performance by the Tulse Hill Singing Group. A series of large boards was on display summarising the outcomes of the various workshops that have taken place so far. These had been designed by CreativeConnection.
