PRERA have been informed by Rishi from Lambeth that the London Mural Festival will not be going ahead on Palace Road Estate.
Lambeth received responses from 11 properties — 3.15% the Palace Road Estate (there are 350 individual properties in total).
The feedback included (list supplied from Lambeth verbatim):
- Mental Health aspects
- Mentioned “undesirables” being attracted to the area
- Attracting graffiti / graffiti artists (which is different to street art and murals)
- Upkeep of the mural(s)
- Not being able to choose a specific design
