UK Power Networks are carrying out works to replace the mains electricity cables on the Palace Road Estate north of Palace Road; Bushell Close is unaffected.
This work is due to the unreliability of the current cabling, which has caused several unplanned outages in the area. The work will start at Ducavel House in the grass area and they will go counter clockwise around the estate.
For them to replace the cables they will need to carry out trench work around the estate with excavations to transfer your incoming service cables to the new main. This will mean they will be trenching across some driveways. They have advised they will have steel plates onsite to maintain access and have requested flexibility with moving of cars to help prevent hold ups with the works and will help to keep disruption to a minimum.
When they are transferring your incoming service to the new main, they may need to gain access to your property to carry out essential testing, in this time you will be off supply for a short duration normally no longer than 30 minutes. They have advised an engineer on site will liaise with you before any interruption is caused and they will endeavour to do this with the least amount of disruption as possible.
If you have any concerns about this work, please email Daniel Cotter at UK Power Networks:

PRERA is in discussions regarding the damage the trenches have caused to the landscape of the estate and will keep you up to date on any progress on this further down the line.
